The trailer begins with the statement, “There’s only one John Madden—they didn’t make another,” and then shows how he went from being a Super Bowl-winning coach for the Raiders to a famous broadcaster and the face of the popular Madden NFL video game.
Nicolas Cage brings a realistic and intense energy to the role, capturing the powerful impact John Madden had on the sport of football.
The film is scheduled for release on Thanksgiving 2026.
