As the year ends, Netflix will soon be losing a very popular show. While the service has been creating more of its own content recently, it still offers many well-loved licensed series, such as Breaking Bad and The West Wing.
One of its most beloved shows, Lost, will no longer be available on Netflix starting January 1st.
Lost, a popular science fiction show created by Jeffrey Lieber, J.J. Abrams, and Damon Lindelof, originally aired on ABC from 2004 to 2010. The series centers on the passengers who survive a plane crash and find themselves stranded on a strange island. Over six seasons and 121 episodes, Lost became a major part of popular culture.
If you haven’t seen the whole show yet, you can still catch up! All six seasons are streaming on Hulu, and you can also rent or buy them from various online stores.
Despite the removal of Lost, Netflix still has a lot of great shows and movies. This month, they’ve added new episodes of The Amazing Digital Circus, the entire second season of Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches, and all seven seasons of The West Wing.
The removal of Lost from streaming is disappointing for dedicated fans, but plenty of other shows are still available. If you’ve been wanting to rewatch the show and discover the secrets of the island and its survivors, now’s the perfect moment.
