In 2022, a sensational Korean zombie show made its debut and swiftly gained global acclaim. This series is adapted from the webtoon by Joo Dong-geun and accumulated over 560 million watching hours within a mere 28 days.
The series also managed to rank among the top 10 most-viewed non-English programs on Netflix worldwide, appearing in the top 10 lists across more than 90 different countries.
Park Ji-hu, Yoon Chan-young, Cho Yi-hyun, and Lomon are back for this season, having survived the initial zombie outbreak in Hyosan. The narrative shifts to a different city this time, introducing fresh characters as well. Among the newcomers are Lee Min-jae from “Weak Hero: Class 2”, Kim Si-eun and Roh Jae-won from “Squid Game”, and debutante Yoon Ga-i.

In Season 2, Nam On-jo, portrayed by Park Ji-hu, is adjusting to life as a student in Seoul. However, another unexpected outbreak plunges the city into chaos once more. This time, On-jo finds herself needing to survive yet again, but without her previous companions at her side.
In the latest installment, characters such as Lee Cheong-san, Choi Nam-ra, and Lee Su-hyeok continue to captivate fans. Meanwhile, On-jo develops a fresh group of friends at college consisting of Yong Ma-ru, So Ju-ran, and Lee Jong-a. These individuals possess unique strategies for navigating this post-apocalyptic setting. Furthermore, Roh Jae-won portrays Han Du-seok, the head of the National Intelligence Service, injecting an additional layer of intensity into the unfolding narrative.
This time around, Lee JQ and Kim Nam-su are back in the director’s chair, with Chun Sung-il penning the script once more. The production is being managed by FILM MONSTER, with additional co-production from SLL Joongang, KIMJONGHAK PRODUCTION, and NPIO Entertainment.
