Neko Health, which refers to itself as a pioneer in preventative healthcare technology, has expanded by opening a second Health Centre today. This spacious new facility, located at Spitalfields Market, London, boasts 7,466 square feet and is capable of performing up to 30,000 scans per year. Now the largest Neko Health location worldwide.
The brainchild of co-founders Hjalmar Nilsonne and Daniel Ek from Spotify, this Stockholm-based company has gained widespread attention for its £299 GBP (approximately $385 USD) full-body health scanning service. This technology rapidly collects millions of health data points, both internal and external, on a patient’s body within minutes, screening for various potential health issues such as skin cancer, blood abnormalities, stroke, and heart attack risks, among others. Each session concludes with a one-on-one consultation with a doctor where the results can be discussed in person, all taking less than an hour to complete.
According to the Financial Times, Neko Health is striving to be the health-care equivalent of Apple. Their goal is to challenge the existing medical system and reinterpret what healthcare truly signifies in today’s world, leveraging data and technology to identify and forestall potential issues before they escalate into real problems.
The co-founder, Nilsonne (who hails from a family of doctors but chose a different path by becoming an engineer), holds the view that the standard medical experience has remained largely unchanged for decades. This perspective is evident in every Neko Health location, where meticulously designed spaces are not only functional but also visually appealing and inviting to the senses.
Neko Health’s Marylebone branch in London is their sole location outside of Sweden. This relatively new establishment (opened less than a year ago) has experienced an overwhelming demand for its body scan service, leading to the creation of a waiting list totaling nearly six figures.
Neko Health’s freshly opened Health Center can be found at 1 Lamb Street, E1 6EA, nestled in the eastern part of London. To learn more about it and sign up for their services, please check out their official website.
