As Capcom prepares to release its next Title Update for Monster Hunter Rise in late September, they revealed during the Gamescom Opening Night Live event that the game will be collaborating with Final Fantasy 14. This isn’t entirely unexpected, given that Behemoth was a part of Monster Hunter World. However, this time around, players will encounter Omega Planetes instead. For more details, you can check out the announcement courtesy of IGN.
A notable new feature is the ability to ride Chocobos, and with the enhanced movement systems in the Wilds, the experience of riding them should be even more enjoyable. However, the reason for Planetes’ appearance in the Forbidden Lands is yet to be explained by the development team.
Additionally, it’s important to mention that enthusiasts of Final Fantasy 14 have a unique event coming up with Wilds starting in early October. In this event, players will be able to ride Sekrets (which can also glide), discover expansive new territories, and confront Guardian Arkveld. Keep an eye out for further updates on these collaborations in the upcoming weeks.
The game titled “Monster Hunter Wilds” can now be played on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and personal computers (PC). Notably, developer Capcom has shared their intentions to enhance the performance of the game on PC by focusing on CPU and GPU optimization. To learn more about these improvements, follow this link.
