‘Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” Season 2 Release Date Announced Alongside New Teaser

The second season of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters will start streaming on Apple TV on Friday, February 27, 2026.

The upcoming season will consist of ten episodes. The first episode will be available on the premiere date, and then a new episode will be released each Friday until May 1st. The streaming service also revealed a short preview trailer and a still from the show.

In the first season, I was totally hooked by the story of these two siblings trying to figure out their family’s connection to this mysterious organization called Monarch. It was a really compelling setup!

The characters’ investigation took them into a world filled with monsters and introduced them to Army officer Lee Shaw, portrayed by Kurt and Wyatt Russell. The story alternates between the 1950s and fifty years in the future, revealing the threats Monarch confronts because of the knowledge Shaw possesses.

Kurt Russell is coming back as Lee Shaw for the second season. At the end of season one, the older version of Lee sacrificed himself to repair a portal, allowing the crew to return to Earth. He seemingly fell into the Hollow Earth while the crew escaped, but will return in the new season.
