Miley Cyrus is one of five kids born to Tish Cyrus and her ex, Billy Ray Cyrus. Despite being a well-known musician, Miley has had a challenging relationship with her mother, who allegedly encouraged her to date unsuitable men due to their good looks. In the latest episode of The Cut podcast, Miley shared an instance where her mom provided dating advice that led her astray.
Previously, Cyrus was known for her high-profile relationships with Cody Simpson and Liam Hemsworth, and the two had been married for a year before their union ended. Currently, she is in a relationship with Maxx Morando.
Tish Cyrus’ dating advice for Miley Cyrus
In regard to dating advice given by Miley Cyrus’s mother, the singer reminisced about her mother preferring her to stay with good-looking guys who were actually wrong for her. However, Tish Cyrus, also present during the conversation with her daughters, countered and asserted that she felt it was the correct decision at the time.
The person responded, “Indeed, that was excellent advice. After all these years, you’ve grown past the initial emotions, and now being in a relationship with someone attractive certainly offers a pleasant sight!
The musician playfully commented, “Instead, I found myself with someone [Morando] very dear to me, who is kind, considerate, and shows me great respect. I discovered this through difficult experiences.” She added, “I’ve had to learn that lesson the hard way.
It’s not only Miley who feels this way, but also Noah Cyrus, who is currently engaged to fashion designer Pinkus. Both of them have expressed that they didn’t find their mother’s advice beneficial.
Earlier in our chat, Cyrus mentioned, “I needed a person who would treat me with dignity, and surprisingly, that wasn’t one of Mom’s top priorities. Instead, she emphasized, ‘They should be tall.’
