Megan Fox is officially joining the Five Nights at Freddy’s franchise.
Universal and Blumhouse have announced that she will be the voice of Toy Chica in the new *Five Nights at Freddy’s 2* movie, scheduled for release on December 5th.
The new movie picks up the story from the haunted Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, a family restaurant with a dark secret hidden within its animatronic characters. Director Emma Tammi returns for the sequel, and Josh Hutcherson, along with returning cast members Matthew Lillard, Elizabeth Lail, and Piper Rubio, will reprise their roles.
Fox has added MatPat to the voice cast as Toy Bonnie, and Kellen Goff will voice Toy Freddy. Universal Studios also revealed a new, suspenseful tagline for the film: “Anyone can survive five nights. This time, there will be no second chances.”
The 2023 film *Five Nights at Freddy’s*, based on the well-known video game series created by Scott Cawthon, was a popular success. The movie centers on a security guard, played by Hutcherson, who learns that the restaurant’s animatronic characters come alive and become deadly at night.
The next film in the series will continue the story from Scott Cawthon’s popular games, and Cawthon is personally writing the screenplay. Production, handled by Blumhouse, began in November 2024 and finished in February. Joining the cast are Skeet Ulrich, Wayne Knight, Mckenna Grace, and Teo Briones.
Following the success of the first film, a sequel had been discussed since 2018. In early 2024, Josh Hutcherson revealed that work on a second movie was underway, and Blumhouse officially confirmed the project a few months after that.
Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 will be released in U.S. theaters by Universal Pictures on December 5.
Megan Fox as the voice of Toy Chica feels perfect for the unsettling and unpredictable atmosphere of *Five Nights at Freddy’s*. The first movie was a pleasant surprise, and the second one looks to be continuing that success with a talented cast and familiar faces.
