Mega Victreebell revealed for Pokémon Legends: Z-A

The latest Mega Evolution for Pokemon Legends: Z-A has been unveiled, featuring none other than the iconic Generation 1 Pokemon, Victreebel. This evolution has made Victreebel even larger, rounder, and more acidic than previously imagined.

During today’s presentation, we watched footage of two trainers exploring an apparently deserted house, which had an overpowering aroma of acid. Upon entering, they encountered several Pokémon that seemed to be there for a scare, such as Espurr, Spinarak, and Noibat. Eventually, they ventured upstairs.

That’s where Victreebel’s trainer had been secretly training Victreebel, but once it underwent Mega Evolution, it became unruly and battered through the wall, releasing copious amounts of acid and scaring everyone out of the house. It has now been added to the list of confirmed Megas, joining Mega Dragonite.

This Mega resembles a colossal sac filled with acid, as its expansive opening is situated at the top instead of the bottom, releasing acid like a volcano eruption. The vines coil around its mouth, tightening it for extra pressure and increasing the force of the acid expulsion. Without a doubt, it’s a Pokémon we’d prefer to maintain a safe distance from.

Pokémon Legends: Z-A is releasing on October 16, 2025 on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2.
