Martha Stewart has said she’s not interested in watching the hockey drama Heated Rivalry. The 84-year-old lifestyle expert recently told Kay Adams on the Up & Adams Show that she’s not a fan of the series.
“I really gave it a shot, but it just didn’t appeal to me,” Stewart explained. “That kind of story isn’t really my thing.” She prefers crime dramas and stories about family conflicts over romantic sports stories, and specifically mentioned the show MobLand as one of her favorites.

She was a huge fan of the show MobLand, enthusiastically declaring, “It’s my favorite!” She raved about the cast, especially Pierce Brosnan, Helen Mirren, and Tom Hardy, whom she called “my man.” Martha also praised Guy Ritchie, the series’ director and executive producer, and confidently stated that MobLand was “the best show on TV in 2025.”
Lots of celebrities, including Pedro Pascal, Ayo Edebiri, and Haley Lu Richardson, are enjoying Heated Rivalry, the series on Crave and HBO Max inspired by Rachel Reid’s Game Changers books. They’ve been impressed by the show’s captivating plot and heartfelt gay romance, all while Martha hasn’t gotten around to watching it yet.
Heated Rivalry is a show about the intense competition and secret romance between two hockey players: Shane Hollander, played by Hudson Williams, and Ilya Rozanov, played by Connor Storrie. The series has gained attention for its realistic depiction of an LGBTQ+ relationship and its mature content. Due to its success, a second season has been greenlit, and a spin-off novel is also in the works.
Even though the show is gaining a lot of fans, Martha Stewart still prefers her usual dramas – ones with gangsters and classic movie stars. She’s leaving the heartwarming hockey story to those who enjoy a passionate sports romance.
