Mark Wahlberg and Paul Walter Hauser Spark Chaos in Wild “Balls Up” World Cup Trailer

The new comedy film, Balls Up, starring Mark Wahlberg and Paul Walter Hauser, is set in Brazil and its first trailer has just been released.

The new film from Amazon MGM Studios stars Mark Wahlberg and Jack Hauser as two American marketing executives who unexpectedly win the contract to brand a made-up FIFA World Cup. Their plan to promote a new line of condoms as the official product of the tournament quickly spirals out of control.

The trailer, released on March 19th, shows two men causing a huge disruption at the World Cup Final in Brazil. Their actions stop the host country from winning, leading to chaos in the stadium and an international incident. According to the official description, marketing professionals Brad (Wahlberg) and Elijah (Hauser) attempt a wildly ambitious sponsorship deal with the World Cup.

When a wild celebration in Brazil leads to international trouble, the group finds themselves on the run from angry fans, criminals, and corrupt authorities. They need to escape with their careers—and their lives.

Peter Farrelly, the director of films like Dumb & Dumber and Ricky Stanicky, helms the new comedy. The screenplay is by Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese, who wrote the Deadpool movies. The film stars Benjamin Bratt, Eva De Dominici, Daniela Melchior, Molly Shannon, Sacha Baron Cohen, and Eric André.

Balls Up is Mark Wahlberg’s first film release of 2026. He’s recently been in Mel Gibson’s Flight Risk, played a thief in the Prime Video movie Play Dirty, and reprised his role as Dan Morgan in The Family Plan 2. Director Hauser’s recent projects include the documentary Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere, and a brief, uncredited appearance in the Prime Video series Playdate.

Balls Up will stream exclusively on Prime Video starting April 15.
