Ever since Pharrell Williams became a part of Louis Vuitton, musical themes have been more prominent than ever. For the Spring 2025 season, Louis Vuitton looks to the past, making vintage music technology artifacts the focal point once again. This esteemed French house has always been adept at elevating ordinary items, and this time around, they’re rummaging through the archives of music players to breathe new life into them.
This season’s bag collection introduces a cross-body pouch that draws inspiration from an iPod, featuring a compact design similar to Louis Vuitton’s own Amazone cross body bag. The bag is fashioned in leather, resembling an iPod, with a small window emulating the device’s screen. This screen showcases a fully charged battery icon, a play button, and the text “Louis Vuitton Collection Spring 2025” instead of a song title. The design honors the iPod’s scroll wheel, while the date on the bag reads “18:54,” symbolizing Louis Vuitton’s founding year. The handles are designed as two intertwined golden headphones, and the LV monogram completes the design.
Additional items in the collection are a wallet styled like a vintage cassette player, complete with pause/play buttons and fast forward/rewind symbols engraved at the top. Additionally, there’s a cassette tape card holder up for grabs, boasting designs that mimic authentic tapes, showcasing “Side A” and “Side B” sides, just like real cassettes. The inside design features an iconic headphone graphic with the LV logo for extra detailing. The items are scheduled to be delivered on March 13th. Keep an eye out for further updates.
