Lorde is hitting the road this fall for her “Ultrasound” headline tour.
Starting on September 17th, Lorde’s engagement is scheduled to commence, taking her iconic performances across North America, Europe, and the UK. The “Ultrasound” tour will be a significant milestone for Lorde as she takes center stage at renowned venues like Madison Square Garden, The Kia Forum, Red Rocks Amphitheatre, and London’s O2 Arena for the first time. Accompanying her on this tour are supporting acts such as Blood Orange, The Japanese House, Nilüfer Yana, Chanel Beads, Empress Of, Jim-E Stack, and Oklou on various dates.
The news came not long after Lorde unveiled her upcoming album titled “Virgin,” scheduled for release on June 27. In an email sent to her followers, she shared insights about the inspirations behind the album’s music and aesthetics.
The album’s color is as clear as water, windows, ice, or spit – completely transparent. The language used is straightforward and unromantic. The sounds, whenever possible, remain the same. I aimed to create a record that mirrors my femininity: raw, primal, innocent, elegant, open-hearted, spiritual, and masculine.
I’m both proud and apprehensive about this album. There’s no escaping its depth. I firmly believe that expressing the deepest aspects of ourselves through music is what liberates us.
