Little Simz Unveils Third 'Lotus' Single, "Young"

Although her sixth studio album, titled Lotus, was slightly delayed from its initial mid-May release to June, Little Simz isn’t slowing down before it hits the airwaves. In preparation for the upcoming LP, she has already released a trio of singles showcasing diverse sounds. First came the collaborative effort “Flood” featuring Obongjayar and Moonchild Sanelly, followed by her solo track “Free.” Now, Simz has debuted another new song titled “Young,” which leans towards punk music.

As the third track on the playlist, “Young” features production by Miles Clinton James.

Simz shared that she managed to connect deeply with a character, which brought her joy. She described it as a brief, playful moment when discussing “Young.

In the music video, “Young” joins forces with Dave Meyers once again, continuing their successful partnership from their award-winning video “Gorilla”.
