Lil Wayne’s sixth addition to his renowned Tha Carter series of albums, initially launched in 2004, is now here, nearly seven years after the last release. The unveiling of this album was rather discreet, featuring just one pre-release single, “The Days,” that was recently premiered during an NBA Finals campaign less than a day ago.

Lil Wayne’s album, “Tha Carter V,” was released on his 36th birthday, which was September 27, 2018. Previously, “Tha Carter IV” came out on August 29, 2011; “Tha Carter III” on June 10, 2008; “Tha Carter II” on December 6, 2005; and the original “Tha Carter” on June 22, 2004.

In simpler terms, “Tha Carter VI” is the first full-length solo project from the rapper since his prelude mixtape, “Tha Fix Before Tha VI,” which came out in September 2023. Prior to that, he collaborated with 2 Chainz on their joint album, “Welcome 2 Collegrove,” which was released in November 2023.
