To mark Formula 1’s 75th anniversary season, LEGO is set to offer fans a taste of racing excitement through a wide-reaching partnership. This alliance, revealed towards the end of last year, encompasses in-race activities, unique collectibles, interactive store events, and digital content aimed at captivating both motor sports enthusiasts and LEGO enthusiasts alike.
In 2025, LEGO plans to establish interactive fan areas, or “Fan Zones,” at thirteen Formula 1 races in cities like Shanghai, Silverstone, Monza, and Las Vegas. These zones will provide hands-on activities such as DIY build sessions, photo ops, and displays of the entire range of LEGO’s Formula 1 products, showcasing all ten teams together for the first time. Moreover, twenty Formula 1 events are going to feature “LEGO Pit Shops,” where visitors can buy sets from LEGO Speed Champions, LEGO City, LEGO DUPLO, and LEGO Collectibles.
In these regions – Europe, North America, and China – LEGO retail outlets are planning racing-themed activities. These include distributing buildable steering wheels as gifts and setting up a Racing Ramp play area. On the other hand, LEGOLAND and LEGO Discovery Centers will organize Formula 1 themed building events between March and June.
Moving beyond just physical playsets, LEGO is increasing its involvement in Formula 1 digitally. The LEGO Play app is set to unveil innovative racing-themed creative tools, while the main LEGO website will showcase an exclusive F1 game and related content. Moreover, a special edition of the LEGO Magazine in March will come with a racing board game, followed by a focus on LEGO Collectibles in July.
