This week on Peacock, you’ll find a lot of crime shows, stories that cross over between Chicago-based dramas, and reality TV from Bravo. Whether you’re a longtime fan or just discovering these shows, here’s a helpful guide to what they’re about, who stars in them, and how they fit into the world of television.
Here’s a list of 10 great shows, counting down to our top pick! For each one, we’ve included the basic idea, who stars in it, who made it, and a few behind-the-scenes facts – so you can quickly find something new to watch.
10. ‘The Real Housewives of Miami’ (2011–2013; 2021–present)
This reality show takes you inside the glamorous world of Miami’s social elite. Each season follows the lives of a group of women, including Alexia Nepola, Larsa Pippen, Lisa Hochstein, Julia Lemigova, and Guerdy Abraira, among others. Originally airing on Bravo for three seasons, the show moved to Peacock in 2021 before returning to Bravo. Season 7 premiered in June 2025, featuring both familiar faces and new cast members like Stephanie Shojaee.
As a huge fan, I’ve been following this show closely, and it just keeps delivering drama both on and off screen! It’s fascinating to watch how the cast navigates their relationships, businesses, and, let’s be honest, their legal troubles. I was thrilled to hear it was renewed for a seventh season back in May 2024, and I’ve been happily tuning in weekly since mid-2025. It’s great to see the familiar faces, and the appearances from past cast members are a fun bonus!
9. ‘The Voice’ (2011–present)
As a huge fan of singing competitions, I’ve been watching *The Voice* for years! What I love is the unique format – starting with those amazing blind auditions where the coaches only judge on voice, then moving through the battle rounds and knockouts before the live shows. Seeing those chairs turn for a singer is such a rush! Carson Daly has been guiding us through it all since the beginning, and honestly, the constantly changing panel of coaches is genius. Over 27 seasons, we’ve seen everyone from Blake Shelton and Adam Levine to Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, Gwen Stefani, and even Reba McEntire and Michael Bublé! That mix of fresh faces and familiar stars is definitely a big reason why the show has stayed so popular for over a decade.
The show’s judging panels are always changing, recently blending experienced coaches with new faces. The network is also trying out new ideas for auditions and the live performances. NBC has confirmed the show will continue for upcoming seasons, and has shared details about when they will air in the spring and fall.
8. ‘Brilliant Minds’ (2024–present)
This medical drama, set in a New York neurology ward, follows Dr. Oliver Wolf, played by Zachary Quinto, as he investigates fascinating and unusual medical cases based on real-life neurological conditions. Created by Michael Grassi, the show takes inspiration from the work of the late neurologist Oliver Sacks, drawing stories from his famous case studies in books like ‘The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat’ and ‘An Anthropologist on Mars.’ The cast also includes Tamberla Perry, Ashleigh LaThrop, Spence Moore II, and more.
This drama, created by Universal Television, Berlanti Productions, and The Imaginarium, first aired on NBC in September 2024 and is also available to stream on Peacock. The second season launched in September 2025, and the estate of Oliver Sacks has recognized the show’s connection to his work and their involvement with it.
7. ‘The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City’ (2020–present)
This reality show on Bravo follows the personal and professional lives of women living in and around Salt Lake City, Utah. Key cast members include Lisa Barlow, Heather Gay, Meredith Marks, Whitney Rose, Mary Cosby, Angie Katsanevas, and Bronwyn Newport. The series premiered in November 2020 and is ongoing, with the sixth season set to launch in September 2025.
This show, created by Shed Media, has changed over time with different casts and has consistently attracted a large audience, especially online in recent seasons. The way storylines unfold and cast members come and go have really influenced the relationships between the characters as the show has developed.
6. ‘Law & Order’ (1990–2010; 2022–present)
As a total TV buff, I’ve always been fascinated by Dick Wolf’s *Law & Order*. What I love about it is how it realistically shows both the police side of solving a crime *and* then what happens when it goes to court – all filmed right in New York City, which adds so much to the atmosphere. It originally ran for an incredible 20 seasons, ending in 2010, but thankfully NBC brought it back in 2022! Over 24 seasons now, it’s given us some truly memorable characters, like Sam Waterston as Jack McCoy, and it’s been fun seeing new faces join the cast in these recent seasons.
The show, created by Wolf Entertainment and Universal Television, sparked a successful franchise and came back with a new cast, continuing its tradition of basing episodes on real-life events. NBC announced it would return for a 25th season in May 2025, and details about production and casting were still being finalized in the fall.
5. ‘The Real Housewives of Orange County’ (2006–present)
The first ‘Real Housewives’ series follows the lives of wealthy women in Orange County, California. Over nineteen seasons, the show – created by Scott Dunlop and debuting on Bravo in 2006 – has showcased cast members including Tamra Judge, Heather Dubrow, Shannon Storms Beador, Gina Kirschenheiter, Emily Simpson, Jennifer Pedranti, and Katie Ginella.
The newest season of the show, created by Evolution Media, debuted in July 2025. Episodes became available on Peacock the day after they aired. Season 19 featured both familiar faces from the main cast and a guest appearance by Gretchen Rossi, blending individual stories with fun group adventures – a hallmark of the series.
4. ‘Chicago Med’ (2015–present)
This medical drama takes place at Gaffney Chicago Medical Center and is part of the larger ‘Chicago’ television universe. Created by Dick Wolf and Matt Olmstead, and with Diane Frolov and Andrew Schneider overseeing the show, it features a talented cast including S. Epatha Merkerson, Oliver Platt, Marlyne Barrett, Nick Gehlfuss, and Dominic Rains. The series recently celebrated a milestone, reaching its 200th episode with special appearances from beloved characters.
The drama series, created by Wolf Entertainment and Universal Television, first aired in 2015. It frequently features crossover episodes with ‘Chicago Fire’ and ‘Chicago P.D.’, and has seen both cast members leave and return over the years. Season 11 is scheduled to premiere on October 1, 2025.
3. ‘Chicago Fire’ (2012–present)
Chicago Fire, the first show in the ‘Chicago’ series, centers on the brave firefighters, rescue personnel, and paramedics who work at Firehouse 51. Created by Michael Brandt and Derek Haas, the show features a talented cast including Jesse Spencer, Taylor Kinney, Eamonn Walker, and David Eigenberg, among others. It first aired in October 2012 and has since aired over 270 episodes.
‘Chicago Fire’, produced by Wolf Entertainment and Universal Television, has seen several showrunners over its many seasons. It continues to air on NBC, with new episodes also available to stream on Peacock after they first appear on television. NBC has confirmed the show will return for a fourteenth season in fall 2025.
2. ‘Chicago P.D.’ (2014–present)
Chicago P.D. is a police drama that follows the work of the Intelligence Unit within the Chicago Police Department, headed by Sergeant Hank Voight (played by Jason Beghe). The show, created by Dick Wolf as a spin-off of ‘Chicago Fire,’ has showcased a rotating cast of characters over the years, including actors like Jon Seda, Sophia Bush, Jesse Lee Soffer, Marina Squerciati, LaRoyce Hawkins, Amy Morton, and Tracy Spiridakos. It first aired on NBC in January 2014.
This show exists within a larger ‘Chicago’ TV world, meaning characters and cases often connect with those on other shows in the franchise. Several different executive producers, like Matt Olmstead and Rick Eid, have overseen the show during its run, and new episodes are available to stream on Peacock the day after they air.
1. ‘Law & Order: Special Victims Unit’ (1999–present)
Created by Dick Wolf and starring Mariska Hargitay as Captain Olivia Benson, along with Ice-T as Sergeant Odafin Tutuola and a rotating cast, this series follows the detectives of the NYPD’s Special Victims Unit. Debuting in 1999, it’s become the longest-running scripted primetime drama series ever in the United States.
As a long-time fan, it’s amazing to see how much ‘SVU’ has grown! Produced by Wolf Entertainment and Universal Television, it’s racked up hundreds of episodes, tons of awards and nominations, and has even teamed up with shows like ‘Law & Order’ and the ‘Chicago’ series. It’s still a cornerstone of NBC’s lineup, and now, as a bonus, new seasons hit Peacock after they air on TV.
