Land Rover Classic has reintroduced the classic Defender Soft Top, unveiling the Defender V8 Works Bespoke Soft Top – a contemporary homage to the legendary off-roader. Equipped with a potent 405 hp, 5L V8 engine in combination with an eight-speed automatic transmission, the compact “90” version aspires to offer both exhilarating open-air adventure and robust performance.
Each vehicle is individually crafted using carefully chosen Defender models manufactured between 2012 and 2016. The remodeling process features enhanced suspension, Alcon brakes, and a hood reminiscent of the final 2016 production model. Customers can select from four hood hues and an array of personalized options, including more than forty paint shades and thirteen leather upholstery combinations.
Remaining faithful to its roots, this convertible model sports classic tie-downs and a tailor-made hood frame that echoes the design of the NAS 90 from North America’s past. Buyers have the chance to customize their purchase with add-ons such as a wine refrigerator or surfboard carrier, while wheel options range from 16-inch Wolf wheels to 18-inch Sawtooth alloys.
Beginning at 195,000 British Pounds (approximately 259,412 US Dollars), the Classic Defender V8 Soft Top signifies the initial open-top Defender model since 2016 and can be purchased through Land Rover Classic in both the United Kingdom and Germany.
