Foday Dumbuya’s creative venture, LABRUM, is carrying on its path by joining forces and celebrating its West African and British heritage through immersive storytelling. Last year, LABRUM partnered with GUINNESS to welcome the summer by sharing a drink outside with friends. Now, in their upcoming project, LABRUM and GUINNESS are teaming up once more, this time unveiling an energetic line of pub-inspired furniture.
Under the title “COMMON THREADS,” this collection takes us inside Dumbuya’s household, showcasing printed sofas, checkerboards, stools, mirrors, and lamps. These items foster a sense of unity, and they are adorned with engaging illustrations primarily by the Irish stout brand.
The abstract furniture showcases zigzag wooden legs, symbolizing various cultures, thoughts, and communities. Each piece harmoniously blends with the rest, creating a smooth flow. The collection concludes with a lamp shaped like Nomoli, reminiscent of LABRUM’s distinctive logo, bridging history and culture into your living space.
Have a good peek at the LABRUM x GUINNESS collaboration on display in the gallery up top. You can grab it starting today and until March 23rd, located at 35A Marshall Street, Carnaby, London W1F 7EX.
