And here’s the official synopsis for the 10-episode second season of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters:
Season two begins with everything at stake for Monarch and the entire world. The story uncovers long-hidden secrets, bringing both heroes and villains together on Skull Island, home of Kong. We’ll also discover a new village and the emergence of a powerful, legendary Titan from the ocean. Past events have consequences that are felt today, complicating relationships between family, friends, and enemies—all while the threat of another massive Titan attack looms.
The latest preview opens with surfers, initially making it seem like a classic monster-attack scenario similar to Jaws. However, this time the creatures aren’t limited to the water – nowhere is safe. The teaser also shows a massive sea monster destroying a boat, bringing to mind the Kraken from Clash of the Titans (though a crossover seems unlikely). Season two of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters features Kurt Russell and Wyatt Russell, both playing the character Lee Shaw at different points in his life. The cast also includes Anna Sawai, Kiersey Clemons, Ren Watabe, Mari Yamamoto, Joe Tippett, and Anders Holm.
