The sequel to Kingdom Come: Deliverance, titled as yet unnamed, has just released its second out of three significant expansion packs (with Brushes of Death being the initial one, followed by Legacy of the Forge). Notably, this version boasts enhanced optimization compared to previous editions. If you initially experienced this game on a PC at launch, you’ll be pleasantly surprised by its noticeable upgrades. Even though the original performance was commendable, the current state is significantly improved.
Although there have been numerous enhancements, new features, and refinements, the game continues to encounter a few problems. In my current save file from launch, several quests are still bugged, and unfortunately, one of the most irritating issues has resurfaced: DLSS is no longer available as an upscaling option, with only FSR 3.1 and XeSS remaining.
As a dedicated gamer, I’ve faced an ongoing challenge ever since Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 made its debut. But fear not! After tinkering under the hood, we think we’ve cracked the code and found a dependable solution to this nagging problem.
How to fix KCD2 DLSS via Nvidia App – KCD2 DLSS
It’s a good place to begin, but make sure your system has the most current Nvidia graphics card drivers installed, as well as noting that only newer Nvidia GPUs can support the DLSS technology.
After making sure everything is correct, go ahead and apply Nvidia App’s Graphics settings preferences for KCD2. These settings will automatically include DLSS, although you might want to navigate to the specific settings in the Driver Settings to manually adjust the DLSS level as desired.
In KCD2’s graphics settings, there’s a good chance DLSS will be available. However, if it isn’t, make sure to follow the subsequent steps before attempting again.
How to fix KCD2 DLSS via Bluetooth settings – KCD2 DLSS
Although it might seem unusual, I found that the solution for this issue was suggested by users on Reddit, and upon giving it a try, I discovered that it indeed produced the desired results.
To disable your computer’s Bluetooth, first, access its settings. On a Windows system, you can do this by pressing the Windows key and typing “Bluetooth” into the search bar. Then, just toggle off the Bluetooth function. Many contemporary motherboards come equipped with Bluetooth as a built-in feature; it is usually activated automatically when you start up your computer, so you’ll need to disable it manually for this purpose.
Afterwards, let’s try enabling DLSS once more via the Nvidia App, as suggested in the previous step. Then, open King’s Crown 2 again. It might seem unusual, but it’s quite possible that you’ll be able to use DLSS upscaling again, even with the new Transformer model.
