After it was officially announced that Kendrick Lamar is now a brand ambassador for Chanel, representing their eyewear line, we finally have a glimpse of his first campaign with the luxury fashion house.
For the Chanel Spring/Summer 2025 eyewear campaign, Kendrick Lamar joins forces with actresses Lupita Nyong’o, Margaret Qualley, and Nana Komatsu as they all grace the campaign. Photographed by Karim Sadli, each ambassador showcases a daring pair of eyewear. The four stars were selected to represent raw talent at its peak and artistic bravery at its finest.
The frames showcased Chanel’s enduring symbols throughout, hinting at vintage shapes while preserving an air of contemporary chicness. Lupita Nyong’o and Dakota Fanning are longtime friends of the brand, as is Nana Komatsu. Known for her bold performances in films like “World of Kanako”, Komatsu is another face of Chanel eyewear. Common, a Grammy-winning artist multiple times over and recipient of the Pulitzer Prize, also joins the campaign. About his involvement, Common stated, “Chanel’s legacy is timeless, something I wholeheartedly support. Since they don’t produce male clothing, I knew it would be glasses.
