Kendrick Lamar is said to be dropping a new album soon

As a long-time follower and admirer of Kendrick Lamar’s music, I have to say that this latest rumor about new music has me both excited and skeptical. On one hand, we all know that Kendrick is a master at creating thought-provoking and impactful albums. The anticipation for new music from him is always palpable. On the other hand, I’ve learned over the years to take rumors about Kendrick with a grain of salt. He’s known for his love of solitude, so it wouldn’t be surprising if he was taking some time to himself after the intense battle with Drake.

Kendrick Lamar is often seen as a private person who enjoys spending time alone. With his intense rivalry with Drake being played out publicly, some people speculated that he might retreat again to recharge and regain privacy.

It’s been previously stated that Kendrick won’t release any new music at that time, but now rumors are circulating that he might be unveiling something fresh. This speculation stems from a leaked text message exchange between Hitta J3 and someone thought to be Kendrick.

However, it appears the question in Hitta’s deleted message was about the upcoming album, perhaps worded as “Are we getting the album or is this just a tease?” In response, Kendrick (the Compton rapper) allegedly replied with “We are coming.” Although there’s a strong possibility that the message wasn’t actually from Kendrick Lamar himself, it certainly stirred up quite a fuss.

Later, DJ Hed, deeply involved with L.A.’s rap scene, countered the gossip by posting a cap emoji upon encountering it on Instagram. This implies that he considers the rumor to be entirely false. In another post, Hed wrote, “He doesn’t really converse with anyone… definitely not Ak,” referring to DJ Akademiks, who had initially spread the rumor.

Akademiks then blasted Hed on live stream by saying he has a solid record of breaking stories.

Akademiks boasted, “I’m the most renowned journalist you’ve ever encountered. I established a $20 million empire through my work. When I premiered Drake’s video, he inquired, ‘Where did you get it?’ When I share information about Kendrick or any other artist, I couldn’t care less who they are.”

He went on to say, “Academiks is unquestionably the most exceptional individual journalist you’ve likely encountered.” If I were to express that assertion, it would be as if Kendrick Lamar himself had been praised. That’s the truth of the matter. Let me make this clear: I don’t necessarily need to converse with the artists. Do you believe I ever conversed with Yung Miami about the controversy? No, never.

It remains to be seen whether Kendrick will release a new project or not. A hint that it might happen is the 37-year-old subtly suggesting a new song at the start of his “Not Like Us” video, which could potentially serve as the first single for an upcoming album. We’ll just have to wait and see.
