As she sang her 2013 hit “Roar,” she was soaring on a butterfly prop before landing on stage. However, as Perry tried to interact with the audience, the prop suddenly jolted due to a technical issue.

One fan drew a parallel to Beyoncé’s malfunctioning flying vehicle during her Renaissance World Tour by stating, “Beyoncé’s car was the first warning, Katy Perry’s butterfly (prop) is the second, whoever has another one of these flying devices will face God’s third and final strike at their concert.

Simultaneously, as the aerial prop visibly dipped, the backstage crew could be seen scurrying back and forth to rectify the technical issue responsible for the mishap.
