Kate Hudson recently gave fans a peek inside her stunning Los Angeles home, focusing on a bathroom that feels incredibly elegant and classic. The bathroom features a luxurious deep soaking tub with beautiful gold details.
Large windows fill the space with natural light and offer a peaceful view of her beautifully landscaped backyard. Delicate window coverings and framed family photos add to the room’s regal, English estate-like feel.
This design choice likely reflects Hudson’s love for the United Kingdom, where she’s spent a lot of time and recently celebrated a nomination for a British film award.

She expressed how much England means to her and her family, calling the recent nomination a wonderful acknowledgment of the support they’ve received. She playfully mentioned she’s looking forward to returning to London soon. She previously lived in England for several years while engaged to musician Matt Bellamy and is a big fan of British culture – she even jokingly suggested creating an official ‘Downton Abbey Day’ if she ever became a local politician in London.

This home is especially meaningful to Kate Hudson, as it’s where she grew up. She initially purchased the property from her parents, Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell, in 2005, and later added the neighboring house in 2011.
Now, the combined property is a gathering place for her family, who all live nearby. Her brother, Oliver Hudson, recently shared how proud the family is of Kate’s successful return to acting.
The excitement around her performance in “Song Sung Blue” feels particularly special, marking a significant moment after her breakout role in “Almost Famous” over twenty years ago.
Oliver described the recent events as incredibly fast-paced, especially for his sister, who has been through a lot of public attention. He compared it to the experience she had with the film Almost Famous back in 2001, but noted that everyone involved is more mature now, and they can all share in celebrating her success. It’s amazing to see her get this recognition.
He remembered that things were different when she first received a major nomination – he was only 24 and focused on his own life. Now, he feels much more involved and supportive.
While the family appreciates the awards and recognition, Oliver stressed that their most important priority is their close relationships with one another. They see the glamour of Hollywood as less important than the genuine support they provide each other.
He explained that what makes their family special is how they support and enjoy each other, but they don’t put too much pressure on achievements. They’re happy for everyone’s success, but also keep things in perspective, remembering that other things are more important.
Despite this laid-back approach, Oliver admitted he really wants her to win. He said she doesn’t care about winning, but he does—even though he knows art is subjective. He believes people should appreciate how challenging her role is and how beautifully she performs it, especially given her incredible voice and perfect pitch. Hudson stars in the film Song Sung Blue as a performer who pays tribute to Neil Diamond, alongside Hugh Jackman.
Kate Hudson is currently balancing a music career with her acting work. In 2024, she released her first studio album, Glorious, and is also starring in the Netflix series Running Point, created by Mindy Kaling, where she portrays the general manager of a professional basketball team.
