Jonathan Anderson Is the New Creative Director of Dior Men

Officially confirmed: Jonathan Anderson takes over the position previously held by Kim Jones at Dior Men. This new appointment in the world of fashion was revealed by Bernard Arnault during LVMH’s yearly shareholder gathering.

According to WWD, the chairman and CEO of the French luxury group, Arnault, addressed a shareholder’s query about who will replace Jones at Dior, following his departure in January after seven years with the brand. This statement marks the first time LVMH has commented on Anderson’s position since he stepped down from Loewe. The confirmation ends months of speculation and aligns with what industry experts have been suggesting for some time. Arnault did not provide additional details about Anderson’s role at Dior, including whether he will assume control of the womenswear department currently led by Italian designer Maria Grazia Chiuri – a rumor that has also been circulating in the fashion industry.

As a devoted admirer, I too couldn’t help but express my appreciation for the outstanding work of other LVMH designers. Sarah Burton at Givenchy, Michael Rider at Celine, and the dynamic duo Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCullough for Loewe – each one is truly exceptional in their craft. The pre-fall 2025 collection by Chiuri that was recently unveiled in Kyoto left me utterly captivated. Not to mention, Nicolas Ghesquière and Pharrell Williams for Louis Vuitton, whose creativity never ceases to amaze me. Lastly, I must commend Victoire de Castellane, the longtime designer of Dior’s enchanting fine jewelry collections, whose work continues to inspire and delight.

Anderson’s first menswear collection is expected to arrive in June 2025.
