Jeff Bridges recently visited *Jimmy Kimmel Live* to talk about his new film, *Tron: Ares*. The conversation also touched on the significant impact the role of The Dude in *The Big Lebowski* had on his career, with Kimmel pointing out how much Bridges embodies the character in real life. The interview ended with a fun surprise: Bridges effortlessly transformed back into The Dude, complete with his iconic cardigan and sunglasses, and offered some words of wisdom to the world, referring to everyone as “caucasian.”
After telling us we all need to be a lot more calm, he shared what that might look like.
There’s so much conflict right now – wars, arguments, and people shutting each other down. We really need to relax and de-escalate things. It feels like we’re at a really high level of tension, maybe a nine out of ten, when we should be aiming for calm – ideally, zero, or maybe just a little bit above that.
When he turned to Guillermo for help, it turned out Kimmel’s security guard was channeling his inner Dude, complete with a White Russian in hand. But the Dude wasn’t finished – he then targeted the group that really needs to relax.
Let’s focus on keeping ICE – as in, ice for drinks – where it belongs, and leave the unnecessary conflict behind. We should all just get along and work together, and honestly, that’s just a sensible approach.
