Jason Momoa is making it clear that 2026 is shaping up to be a massive year for him.
Over the past week, the actor used Instagram to share hints about several upcoming projects. These included his highly anticipated role as Lobo, a possible preview of a Street Fighter movie, and initial photos from his new Prime Video action film, The Wrecking Crew, which also features Dave Bautista.
“2026. Is gonna be huge. Dream come true. Aloha,” Momoa wrote.

The Supergirl trailer has officially confirmed Jason Momoa as Lobo.
Jason Momoa has always wanted to play Lobo, and his recent social media posts – full of rebellious spirit and motorcycle vibes – now feel like a celebration of finally getting the part. With Lobo confirmed as part of the new DC Universe, Momoa is officially taking on the role fans have requested ever since he first played Aquaman.

Jason Momoa Parties With Street Fighter Movie Cast
Jason Momoa shared a video of himself having fun with the cast of the new Street Fighter movie, and hinted at something exciting to come.
“Blanka hitching a ride to #TheGameAwards,” he wrote.
The movie adaptation of Street Fighter will be released in theaters on October 16, 2026, and Jason Momoa has been confirmed to play the character Blanka.
Jason Momoa hinted at his involvement in the upcoming video game adaptation on Instagram, joking about “Blanka” getting a lift to The Game Awards. His participation is expected to significantly boost the game’s profile as it prepares for release.

Jason Momoa shared initial photos from his upcoming Prime Video action movie, The Wrecking Crew, which also stars Dave Bautista.
“Two brothers, Hawaii, and a whole lot of wrecking along the way,” Momoa teased.
Prime Video will release The Wrecking Crew on January 28th. The film brings together two of Hollywood’s biggest action stars in a reunion, and with its Hawaiian setting and focus on a buddy-cop dynamic, it feels like a classic, over-the-top action movie.
