Greg Cipes, who has been the voice behind Beast Boy for a long time, is expressing his thoughts publicly following his dismissal from Teen Titans Go!, and he urges fans to support him in an attempt to regain the role.
On Sunday, Instagram was used by Emmanuel Newsome, an internet journalist with a fondness for DC, to share a post about an actor’s predicament. In the post, Newsome mentioned James Gunn and urged him to intervene. He claimed that Cipes had disclosed “many distressing particulars” regarding Warner Bros., detailing how the studio handled him following his Parkinson’s diagnosis.

Later in the discussion, Cipes weighed in by directly addressing the post. He detailed the events, which occurred on Valentine’s Day when Warner Bros. terminated his employment after he publicly announced his Parkinson’s diagnosis. In a poignant statement, he expressed, “Warner Bros. let me go on Valentine’s Day, and only the support of my fans can resurrect me.

Newsome shared with his followers that he intends to initiate a petition with the aim of assisting Cipes in reclaiming his position as Beast Boy.
For more than two decades, Cipes has been the vocal actor behind Beast Boy. He introduced this green shape-shifter character in the initial run of the animated series “Teen Titans” back in 2003 and continued to portray him when “Teen Titans Go!” premiered in 2013.
Over multiple years, he provided the voice for Beast Boy across all seasons of the comedy spinoff, which spanned an impressive 426 episodes, numerous TV specials, and even a full-length film. Additionally, Cipes also lent his voice to characters such as Adonis and Private H.I.V.E in the original series.
Beyond just his work with the Titans, he has also contributed to various other notable projects. These include Young Justice, Ben 10 (2016), Milo Murphy’s Law, DC Super Hero Girls, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Ultimate Spider-Man, and Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce Go!.
Currently, the Teen Titans Go! animation remains one of DC’s most thriving series. It has garnered three Emmy nominations in the category of outstanding short-form animated program and boasts a talented cast that includes Scott Menville, Khary Payton, Hynden Walch, and Tara Strong.
For Cipes, relinquishing the role was heart-wrenching. In his own terms, it was like losing much more than just a job. Now, he’s appealing to fans to lend a hand and aid him in reclaiming Beast Boy, as he firmly believes that their backing is the only means to make a difference.
