Insomniac Games, the team behind Marvel’s Spider-Man, has released the first official gameplay trailer for their long-anticipated Wolverine game, along with a confirmed release date. Fans have been eagerly awaiting this reveal, especially after footage leaked online previously.
Marvel’s Wolverine was revealed at a PlayStation event before Tokyo Games Show 2025 and is scheduled to launch in Fall 2026.
The game features quick combat sequences and stunning graphics, particularly showcasing Logan’s face and his iconic claws.
Okay, so the gameplay trailer just finished, and then it switched to a really cool chat with the people who made the game. They were talking with Liam McIntyre, the actor who plays Logan – you might recognize him from *Spartacus: Vengeance*, he’s awesome! He’s actually been in other games too, like *Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order*, which I totally played and loved.
The trailer is full of exciting action and shows some of the Marvel characters – both heroes and villains like Sentinel and Omega Red – that Logan will encounter in the game.
The fighting is exactly as intense and dynamic as you’d hope, sharing the stylish feel of Insomniac’s Spider-Man titles, but with a much grittier and more realistic edge.
I remember when this game was first announced way back in September 2021 – that feels like ages ago now, almost four years! Waiting five years for a game to actually come out is a long time, but honestly, I’m relieved it wasn’t delayed as long as Cyberpunk 2077 was.
In 2023, the studio experienced a significant security breach. As a result, a preliminary, playable version of the game, along with various game files, was released online without authorization.
So, everyone’s been talking about Wolverine and Spider-Man coming to PlayStation, but I just found out there’s another Marvel game coming too! It’s called Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, and it was announced a while back. I hadn’t even heard about it until now!
We’re looking forward to playing the game, but it won’t be released until Fall 2026, so it’s a long wait!
