The Tomb of Gibborim in the Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: Order of Giants DLC presents a tricky puzzle. You’ll need to use four staffs and clues from four wall paintings to figure out how to rotate symbols on the floor, ultimately unlocking the final piece needed to learn the secrets of the giants.
We’ll break down this puzzle step by step so you can complete it.
Tomb of Gibborim puzzle solution
Cross Mural
The beginning of this puzzle is straightforward, and thankfully, you don’t have to spin many circles with the first staff. Go to the circles near the coffin. You need to rotate the boat named “Halygast” so its golden cross faces east, towards where the sun rises. Make sure the town below it, “Atheopolis”, faces west. If you do this correctly, both will sink, unlocking the western gate.
Okay, so I went through the west gate and pulled that lever. It was tricky dodging the flames! Then I had to rotate those symbols on the three shields until they were all facing the right way. Once I did that, boom – I unlocked the Shield Staff! Pretty cool.
Shield Mural
To begin the mural, rotate the green circle marked “Nahkla Pagus” to face south. Next, turn the yellow circle with the castle, labelled “Hori Castrum”, to face east. Once you’ve done that, the mural is complete and the eastern gate will open. You’ll see a Sword staff on the floor, but you won’t need it for this step.
Okay, so instead of doing whatever else we were trying, we need to pull this lever to start the next puzzle. It looks like we have to check out the murals behind the fire cauldron – there are numbers hidden near different parts of the puzzle. Basically, we need to find those numbers and then pull the levers in that exact order. Here’s the order we’re supposed to use:
- Keys
- Shield
- Apple
- Snake
This will raise the cauldron and let you get the Trinity staff.
Trinity Mural
First, rotate the yellow castle marked “Malum” so it faces north. Then, turn the outpost to its west, “Custodis Fastigium”, to face east. Lastly, rotate the circular structure with the church, “Sancti Luciani Ecclesia”, to face south. Once you’ve done that, you can collect the Sword staff to proceed to the final part of the puzzle.
Sword Mural
To solve this puzzle, first rotate the red camp, labeled “Al-Mansur Castra,” to face west. Then, turn the blue ruins, marked “Rudera,” to face east. Finally, rotate the image of the two soldiers fighting, labeled “Pugna,” to face north, aligning it with the direction of the Crusader statue.
Opening the coffin will reveal the Sword of Gibborim as the statue descends. Place the sword into the statue’s chest, and its hand will open, allowing you to retrieve the cylinder segment.
