Honda is making dreams come true through its partnership with Pokémon. Under the guidance of The Pokémon Company, Honda has unveiled the “Honda Koraidon Project,” transforming the legendary Pokémon Koraidon into a real-world, rideable mobility idea.
The project is modeled after the Toyota Miraidon Project, where Toyota engineers constructed a full-size replica of Miraidon, Pokémon Violet’s equivalent to Koraidon. Intrigued by this, Honda gathered around 40 engineers from their Motorcycle and Power Products departments, along with Innovative Research Excellence, to fabricate a Koraidon that showcases Honda’s motorcycle engineering prowess and self-balancing technology expertise.
Modeled after Koraidon’s distinctive muscular structure, Honda’s design includes features inspired by the transportation system seen in Pokémon Scarlet, where Koraidon can traverse land, sea, and sky. Although the exact functions are still a mystery, Honda suggests integrating advanced balance control mechanisms to create an incredibly immersive rideable Pokémon experience.
From March 7-9, 2025, the Honda Koraidon is set to make its grand entrance at Honda Welcome Plaza Aoyama in Tokyo. Here, attendees will be among the first to witness this exciting blend of pop culture and technology.
