I’m really intrigued by Gina Carano‘s new project! It sounds like she’s playing a character very similar to Batman – a lone vigilante, if you will. This is her first television role since leaving *The Mandalorian*, so there’s a lot of attention on it, and the premise definitely has me hooked.
Just six weeks after resolving her legal issues with Disney, the actress is now set to star in *Logan Reign*, a new action series filmed in her hometown of Las Vegas.

A New Kind of Vigilante
Produced by Straightwire Entertainment Group and the team behind films like *Get Out* and *BlacKkKlansman*, *Logan Reign* stars Gina Carano, a former MMA fighter, as a woman who works as a legal assistant during the day and fights crime at night. The show has a similar premise to stories set in Gotham City, but with the bright lights and rough edges of Las Vegas.
Carano says the role is one she’s been craving.
I’ve been excited to develop the character of Logan Reign for a long time,” she shared with Deadline. “Filming in Las Vegas, a city that feels like a character itself and where I grew up, is going to be amazing. It’s a place full of energy, creativity, and raw emotion – it has everything I need for this project, and I can’t wait to see what we create.”

“Iconic” Role for Carano
Producers praised Carano as the perfect fit for the vigilante lead.
The Redicks shared their excitement about “Logan Reign,” calling it a thrilling and energetic show. They immediately knew Gina was perfect for the lead role, stating, “From the very start, we knew Gina was Logan Reign.”
Rob Weston of Straightwire, who also manages Carano, believes the part she’s about to play will be her most memorable role to date.

From Star Wars to Logan Reign
Gina Carano’s latest project is her first significant TV role since being let go from *The Mandalorian* in 2021. She recently settled a lawsuit against Disney alleging wrongful termination and discrimination. Although the details of the settlement weren’t made public, Disney indicated they were open to future collaborations with Carano.
This has led to continued rumors about a potential return to Star Wars. However, Carano is currently preparing for a new, darker role – a Batman-inspired vigilante fighting crime on the streets of Las Vegas.
