In the July 9th episode of General Hospital, Drew and Kai relaxed by the Metro Court pool, taking a dip together and having a secretive chat about politics and Curtis’s unexpected strategy. Drew expressed his gratitude towards Kai for warning him about Curtis’s plot to trick him.

In a challenging situation, Kai made it clear that he didn’t want Trina’s parents to mistakenly believe Drew was responsible for something he wasn’t. Drew shared that he had a strategy to prevent Curtis, but cautioned Kai about the possibility of Trina discovering his involvement. Kai expressed his readiness to face any repercussions if necessary.

Curtis learns Jacinda is missing

At Aurora, Felicia informed Curtis that Jacinda consented to discuss matters and was expected to return within a day. Yet, by the end of the day, Felicia broke the news to Curtis that Jacinda hadn’t boarded the plane and had vacated her residence, making Curtis enraged as he believed Drew likely undermined him. Kai showed up while Curtis was expressing his anger, advising him to avoid involvement in situations he didn’t comprehensively grasp.

In a conversation at Aurora, Jordan confessed to Curtis that she didn’t intend to cause issues in his marriage. She further expressed the need to minimize her involvement in his personal life beyond work and family commitments. In response, Curtis acknowledged he hadn’t treated her or Portia justly. Jordan offered him well wishes before departing, leaving both of them feeling pained.

Ava and Cody’s complicated connection

At the art gallery, Ava and Trina inspected the last-minute arrangements for their upcoming exhibition. Trina complimented Ava’s artwork, hinting that her parents might visit independently. The conversation then shifted towards Kai, with Trina expressing fondness for their relationship. Later on, Cody appeared, dressed smartly, and expressed regret over the awkward kiss he previously gave Ava. Ava tried to dismiss it, but Cody seemed torn about assisting her.

At Alexis’ home, Kristina and Cody had a disagreement concerning hiding their covert strategy from Molly. Suddenly, Molly entered the room and inquired about the commotion. Kristina tried to hide it, but Molly grew more suspicious, particularly when Cody mentioned he was heading to Ava’s performance.

In the Quartermaine boathouse, Sasha confided in Michael that she no longer felt secure and wished to depart Port Charles with Daisy. Despite his attempts to comfort her, Michael found it difficult to prevent her from taking hasty actions.

At Sonny’s place, Jason shared the grim news that Selina’s men had perished. This discovery made Sonny suspect Sidwell was responsible for the fire that nearly claimed Kristina’s life. Determined to exact revenge, Sonny’s actions could pose trouble for Marco. Carly showed up trying to dissuade Sonny from seeking retaliation and cautioned him against endangering more lives.

At the hospital, Liz revealed to Lucas that she plans to attend Ava’s performance alongside Ric, who desires nothing more than friendship. Lucas criticized Ric as being complicated for combining friendship and courting Ava. Willow exchanged a kiss with Drew while voicing concerns about Carly attempting to prohibit her from using the pool.
