Fyre Festival To Be Launched as Music Streaming Service

Shawn Rech, a co-founder of TruBlue, has plans to remodel the Fyre Festival into a music streaming platform after acquiring certain intellectual properties related to the event.

According to Deadline, Rech’s acquisition encompasses two trademarks enabling him to debut Fyre beyond its event. In a statement, he expressed his disinterest in music networks that are merely programming, stating, “I find no appeal in watching people fall on bananas. This has nothing to do with music.” He further explained his motivation: “I sought a well-known brand, even if it’s notorious, to establish my streaming network. Hence, I acquired these trademarks.

He went on to say, “It’s not about celebrations or excitement – it’s about returning control of music exploration to the audience. We’re creating something genuine and enduring.” Furthermore, Rech mentioned that the platform is set to debut on Thanksgiving.

News came shortly following the annulment of the second Fyre Festival. Originally scheduled in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, co-founder Billy McFarland is now on the hunt for a new venue. Reports indicate that he may be associated with a streaming platform and retains ownership of the festival.
