2021 signifies the 40th year since the debut of the Air Jordan 1. Despite Jordan Brand not skimping on commemorating the shoe’s legacy, they are dropping a blend of fan favorites and innovative styles all year long, but it’s a future collaboration that is generating buzz for 2026.

Previously considered an implausible tale, a fragment design x Union LA x Air Jordan 1 emerged this year in the classic black, white, and blue hues. Recently, another pair from this innovative collaboration has surfaced, with Hiroshi Fujiwara sporting a “Black/White” version of the shoe. A brief sneak peek at the new pair reveals it boasts black and white color blocking, text on the midsole, collar stitching reminiscent of Union LA’s past Air Jordan 1 designs, and fragment design’s lightning bolt emblem embossed on the lateral heel.

Currently, there’s no official word from Hiroshi Fujiwara, Union LA, or Jordan Brand about their upcoming Air Jordan 1 project.
