As the year 2024 draws to a close, it’s essential to have something exciting to anticipate for the new year, 2025. Luckily, music enthusiasts will be thrilled to know that numerous impressive tours are set to kick off! Regardless of where you reside in North America (and possibly Australia), there’s bound to be a concert that piques your interest.
Essentially, look up your preferred music groups on Google, and chances are you’ll find some are currently on tour. Keep in mind that you may need to travel a bit, but for certain artists, they will perform near you instead.
Five rock tours not to be missed in 2025
Metallica
Metallica has seldom had prolonged breaks, yet they’ve been off the road since 2022. Exciting update for Metallica enthusiasts! The band is set to crisscross the globe in 2025. They kick off their tour officially in April, starting in Las Vegas, but first, they’ll play a gig in Los Angeles in December. Following their U.S. stint, which ends in June, they plan to visit Australia and New Zealand in November.
Oasis
In the year 2025, Oasis is planning an extensive global concert tour, marking their return to live performances since 2009. The journey kicks off in July within the United Kingdom, transits to North America in August, and revisits the UK in September for a few concerts before moving on to Australia and South America for the majority of November.
AC/DC
Legendary hard rock group AC/DC has stayed away from touring for almost a decade mainly due to health issues faced by their lead vocalist Brian Johnson. However, the Australian rockers are set to return next year! Their tour schedule starts on April 10 in Minneapolis and concludes on May 28 in Cleveland, Ohio. It’s virtually certain that you’ll have a blast at one of their concerts.
Jack White
Jack White’s performances are explosive and dynamic. His White Stripes concerts were iconic, and he carries that same intensity as a solo act. He kicks off his tour in Australia and New Zealand this December, returning to North America in February. From there, he’ll traverse Canada and the United States, with an unusual four shows scheduled in Japan in March. His last performance will be on May 24 in Portland, Oregon.
Elvis Costello
Costello won’t replicate the typical performances of other artists on this list, yet his impact won’t be any less significant. In fact, he is widely regarded as one of the top three songwriters from the past fifty years. His tour will primarily take him through the Northeast region, with a single show in Michigan followed by three in Chicago. This series of shows spans from February 19 to March 14.
