Netflix has shared the first look at artwork for The Immortal Man, the upcoming Peaky Blinders movie. The film will continue the story of Tommy Shelby and his world, and will be shown in select theaters starting March 6, 2026, before becoming available to stream on Netflix on March 20th.
While the specific storyline is still under wraps, the new project will expand the world of Peaky Blinders, taking audiences back to the early 1900s and the dangerous streets of Birmingham that made the original series so popular.
Cillian Murphy is once again playing Tommy Shelby, returning to the character for the first time since the show ended in 2022.

As a huge fan of the series, I’m thrilled to see so many beloved actors returning – Stephen Graham, Sophie Rundle, Ned Dennehy, Packy Lee, and Ian Peck are all back! And the cast is getting even more exciting with the addition of Rebecca Ferguson, Tim Roth, Jay Lycurgo, and Barry Keoghan. It’s great that Tom Harper is directing again – he really understands the world of the show – and even better that Steven Knight, the original creator, wrote the screenplay.
Talk of a continuation of the series had been going on for years. Even before the sixth season finished, Knight suggested he wanted to continue the story. Murphy also expressed interest in returning, stating in 2023 he’d only do so if there was a good reason and a compelling story. By the end of 2023, Knight announced he was nearing completion of the script.
This movie isn’t a restart of the series; it’s designed to continue the story. Viewers who enjoyed the six seasons with the Shelby family will find it picks up right where the show ended.
