Footage obtained by the Daily Mail appears to show former Disney star Matt Prokop, known for his role in High School Musical 3: Senior Year, physically assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Lucy.

I was really disturbed watching that Ring footage. It shows a man, Prokop – he’s 35 – apparently pushing a woman, Lucy, right out the front door of a house in Texas. You can hear her say “Oh no,” and there’s this little dog barking in the background, which just makes the whole thing even more unsettling.

This video is unrelated to the recent arrest of Prokop, who is facing multiple charges, including accusations of possessing illegal materials involving children. He was arrested on December 24, 2025, in Victoria County, Texas, and is currently being held in jail without the possibility of bail. The charges leading to his current detention are separate from the content shown in the video.

Lucy, who was once engaged to Prokop, recently told Page Six that she experienced years of abuse during their relationship. She explained that the effects of this abuse are still felt today and continue to affect her life.

She shared that she’s currently focusing on her own healing process, surrounded by her closest loved ones. She emphasized that taking this time for herself doesn’t minimize the gravity of what happened or the pain she experienced.

Looking back, she admitted she didn’t fully grasp how serious the situation was when she was younger. She emphasized that taking time to process things doesn’t minimize the harm he caused.

Wells Adams’ fiancé, Prokop, has been accused of abuse by previous partners. Sarah Hyland, known for her role on “Modern Family,” publicly stated that he was verbally and physically abusive during their five-year relationship. Court documents from May 2014, obtained by Page Six, suggest Prokop allegedly physically assaulted Hyland during a fight, including slamming her into a car and choking her.

Following their breakup, Hyland accused Prokop of threatening to harm her dog and set her house on fire. She then obtained a three-year restraining order to keep him away. These accusations, along with claims made by Lucy, suggest a concerning pattern of behavior from the actor when he’s not working.

Matt Prokop started acting as a teenager, appearing in several Disney projects. He’s most recognizable for playing Troy Bolton’s friend in High School Musical 3: Senior Year, and he also had roles in the films Furry Vengeance (2010), Cougar Hunting (2011), and Struck by Lightning (2012). He also made guest appearances on shows like Modern Family, establishing himself in teen and family entertainment.

After leaving Disney, Prokop’s career didn’t maintain its momentum, and he hasn’t been involved in many well-known projects lately. He’s mostly stayed out of the public eye, except when dealing with personal issues. However, people still enjoy the teen musicals and family comedies he created earlier in his career, particularly those from his time at Disney.

I have to admit, while I remember Brandon Prokop as that energetic kid from those Disney Channel movies and family films – seriously, he was great in those! – it seems like he hasn’t done a ton of acting since then. He’s done a little modeling here and there, a few TV appearances, but nothing like his Disney days. And honestly, it’s a bit sad because now, instead of remembering him for those fun roles, everyone’s talking about… well, that recent footage. There’s no word on what he’s planning professionally, and with everything going on legally, his future is really up in the air right now.
