A new trailer has been released for Emerald Fennell’s upcoming film, a reimagining of Wuthering Heights. The movie, which Fennell wrote, directed, and produced, is a dark and passionate psychological drama inspired by Emily Brontë’s famous 1847 novel and is expected in theaters in early 2026.
Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi star as Catherine Earnshaw and Heathcliff in the film. Hong Chau, Shazad Latif, Alison Oliver, Martin Clunes, and Ewan Mitchell also feature in supporting roles. The younger versions of these characters are played by Charlotte Mellington, Owen Cooper, and Vy Nguyen.
As a film buff, I’m really excited to see Margot Robbie not just acting in this, but also producing it through her company, LuckyChap Entertainment. It’s fantastic she’s working with Emerald Fennell again – they clearly have a great creative partnership after the success of Promising Young Woman (2020) and the more recent Saltburn (2023).
Emerald Fennell’s adaptation of ‘Wuthering Heights’ is coming to theaters this Valentine’s Day. A first look at the film has just been revealed.

Filming for the project happened in the UK between late January and early April. The crew filmed on location in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, specifically in areas like Arkengarthdale, Swaledale, and Low Row, and also used the facilities at Sky Studios Elstree. Linus Sandgren was the Director of Photography, and he used 35mm VistaVision cameras for the filming.
The decision to cast Jacob Elordi as Heathcliff has sparked conversation, particularly because the character is often described as racially ambiguous. Emerald Fennell, the director, explained her choice, stating that Elordi resembled the original illustration of Heathcliff she saw in her first edition of the book.
The movie tells the dramatic story of Catherine and Heathcliff’s passionate and troubled connection, delving into love, obsession, and the pursuit of revenge. Warner Bros. Pictures is releasing it on February 13, 2026, right before Valentine’s Day.
The new trailer offers a sneak peek at the film’s dark and dramatic feel, stunning outfits, and powerful acting, getting fans excited for its arrival.
