Get ready for a turtle takeover! Mondo has released an amazing new collectible figure of Donatello from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and it’s seriously impressive. This highly detailed figure, based on the classic 1990s movies, is the first in a new line of 1:6 scale collectibles that fans will love. It’s so good, it makes you want to shout “Cowabunga!”

This 12-inch action figure brings the tech-savvy, pizza-loving member of the crime-fighting team to life. It includes a ton of accessories like his bo staff, different weapons and gadgets, two Mouser robots, and Metalhead’s head. You can also swap out the figure’s heads and hands to create different action poses. It’s available for a limited time only at Mondo.
As a huge movie fan, I was blown away by this new collectible figure from Mondo. It’s an original design, and honestly, the detail is incredible – Donnie looks like he stepped right out of the 1990s film! I recently read an interview with Hector Arce, Mondo’s Senior Director of Creative and Product Development, on IGN, where he talked about how they brought this design to life.
According to Arce, Mondo was the first to create 1/6 scale Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles figures, originally based on the Mirage comics. When they decided to revisit the franchise, they wanted a new approach that honored the style of the 1990s movies while also building a unique Mondo storyline that would influence every aspect of the figure designs. This involved thoroughly researching and capturing the atmosphere of that time period to make the designs authentic to the era.

Donnie is the first of many new, detailed Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles figures coming soon. Arce hints that Shredder, the Turtles’ main enemy, might be released next. With these mutant heroes patrolling the sewers, New York City is becoming a safer place. You can pre-order Mondo’s Donatello figure now.
