As a huge Disney fan, I was pretty bummed to hear earlier this year that they were putting the live-action *Tangled* movie on hold. It seemed like the disappointing response to the live-action *Snow White* was the reason. We were all wondering if *Tangled* would ever actually happen! But now, great news! Disney is back on track with it, and there’s even buzz that Scarlett Johansson might be playing Mother Gothel – that would be amazing!
The animated movie *Tangled* was released in 2010 and offered a fresh take on the Rapunzel story. Mandy Moore provided the voice for Rapunzel in this version. The film was very successful for Disney, and with the recent popularity of *Lilo & Stitch*, it looks like Disney is planning to focus on *Tangled* again.
We don’t yet know who else will be in the movie, or when production will restart. We’ll have to wait and see what happens next.
