Disney World Unveils Exciting Sneak Peek of 3 New Theme Park Lands

Walt Disney World in Orlando is finally revealing details about three exciting new areas coming to its parks. Disney hasn’t announced any big new attractions since the opening of TRON Lightcycle / Run, but that’s all changing now.

The company recently unveiled concept art for its new areas, giving visitors a detailed preview of what’s to come.

At Hollywood Studios, a new exhibit showcases plans for three upcoming Disney lands. These include Monstropolis, inspired by Monsters, Inc., a Cars-themed area called Piston Peak at Magic Kingdom, and a new Tropical Americas land at Animal Kingdom. Although Disney has previously released some concept art, this is the first time all three lands have been presented together in a physical display.

Visitors on the Walt Disney Presents tour can take a closer look at the details of each themed land. The Monstropolis area will feature a theater in the location of the former MuppetVision 3D, and a rollercoaster will be built inside a large building at the back of the land. Designs show characters Mike Wazowski and James P. Sullivan holding a door as the coaster speeds by.

Okay, so Disney’s giving us a sneak peek at what’s coming, and it sounds pretty wild. Apparently, this new land isn’t just about the atmosphere – you’ll be able to shop and eat, but the big draw is a first-of-its-kind coaster. Think about it: you’re lifted up into the air, almost like in the movie, and then launched into a thrilling ride that takes you right through the famous Door Vault. It’s a really clever way to bring the film’s central concept to life, and honestly, it sounds like a blast!

Disney has officially named the Monsters, Inc.-themed land coming to Hollywood Studios “Monstropolis.” This new area will include a first-of-its-kind coaster with a vertical lift – a Disney park first – as well as places to eat, shop, and enjoy other entertainment.

Animal Kingdom’s Tropical Americas area is getting a makeover with a ride based on the movie Encanto and a brand-new Indiana Jones adventure. The current Dinosaur ride will be replaced to make room for these exciting additions. Guests can now see concept art and a detailed model showcasing the new attractions, including the iconic Casa Madrigal and the Indiana Jones temple.

Disney plans to add exciting new features to its park, including a central fountain, a quick-service restaurant, a beautifully crafted carousel, and two major attractions. Guests will be able to experience the world of ‘Encanto’ like never before with a first-of-its-kind ride, and embark on a brand new ‘Indiana Jones’ adventure that promises to be unique and thrilling.

Check out the incredibly detailed model of the new Encanto attraction now on display in the Tropical Americas section of Walt Disney Presents at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! It’s definitely worth a look! #DisneysAnimalKingdom #Encanto

Piston Peak, the new area coming to Magic Kingdom, has sparked a lot of discussion, mainly because it will take the place of Tom Sawyer Island and the Rivers of America. Early designs show what the area will look like, including characters and vehicles from the movie Cars.

Disney is creating a new area where guests can experience the beauty of the American wilderness. It will offer beautiful scenery, beloved characters, and two brand-new attractions: an exciting rally race and a family-friendly adventure.

Starting July 7th, the Walt Disney World Railroad will offer limited service, running only between the Fantasyland and Main Street, U.S.A. stations. This change is happening as Disney begins construction on new areas in Magic Kingdom: Piston Peak National Park and Villains Land.
