‘Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles 2’ Game Launches This Summer

At last, I’ve got some exciting news for all Demon Slayer fans like me! The long-awaited launch date is out for Sega’s next fighting action-adventure game in the series – can’t wait to slice my way through some demons soon!

Collaboratively created with CyberConnect2, this forthcoming game encompasses the entirety of the Entertainment District Arc, Swordsmith Village Arc, and Hashira Training Arc within its storyline. Furthermore, more than 40 characters, including every one of the nine Hashiras, can be selected as playable characters in VS Mode.

Today marks the start of digital pre-orders across various PlayStation versions, available in several editions. The Digital Deluxe Edition offers the main game, along with character unlock keys, exclusive content like VS Mode System Voice for High-Rank Demons and costume battle attire. Moreover, pre-ordering grants early access from July 31, 2025, and extra character unlock keys for Muichiro Tokito and Mitsuri Kanroji as bonuses.

The Digital Standard Version comes with the main game, as well as two keys to unlock characters from Kimetsu Academy. If you pre-order, you’ll also get additional character unlock keys for Muichiro Tokito and Mitsuri Kanroji. A physical edition is also available for pre-order, which includes the base game along with two character unlock keys in a limited-time launch version.

The action-packed game “Demon Slayer – Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles 2″ is set to release in North America and Europe on August 5, 2025. You’ll be able to play it on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Steam, and the Nintendo Switch console family.
