Okay, movie and music fans, get ready! SNL just dropped the news about who’s closing out their 51st season. Apparently, Josh O’Connor and Ariana Grande are both going to be hosting episodes in December. I’m already excited to see what they bring to the show!
Josh O’Connor, known for his role in Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, is set to host Saturday Night Live on December 13th. Singer Lily Allen will be the musical performer that night. O’Connor shared his excitement, stating, “I’m thrilled to be hosting SNL for the first time.”
Ariana Grande is returning to host Saturday Night Live on December 20th, which will be the last episode of the year. Cher will be the musical guest, and this will be her first SNL appearance in over 35 years. Grande shared her excitement, saying, “It’s really special to have Cher perform with me on the show.”
Melissa McCarthy will host Saturday Night Live on December 6th, with Dijon performing as the musical guest. This marks McCarthy’s sixth time hosting the show, and she previously received an Emmy Award for her work on SNL in 2017. It will be Dijon’s first appearance on the show.
Ariana Grande has hosted Saturday Night Live twice, and she’s known for combining music and humor in her appearances. Lily Allen is returning as a musical guest, and O’Connor will be making his SNL debut.
The current season of Saturday Night Live kicked off on October 4th with Bad Bunny as host and a performance by Doja Cat. Since then, the show has been hosted by Miles Teller, Nikki Glaser, Glen Powell, Amy Poehler, and Sabrina Carpenter.
