On March 13th, 2025, as I stepped into the cozy confines of Small Bar on Days of Our Lives, I found myself sharing a mocktail with Tate, and posed a question that seemed to hang heavily in the air: “Tate, were you… let’s say, under the influence when Sophia conceived?” To my surprise, he responded earnestly, assuring me that he bore full responsibility for their unexpected bundle of joy.
She expressed that it was now his duty to care for Sophia and the newborn. Later, he attempted to explain that the circumstances weren’t comparable, but things started looking up for him until Theresa found out about Johnny and Chanel as possible adoptive parents.
Initially, I voiced my reservations, but post-discussion, I assured him of my unwavering support. Upon arriving at the scene, I inquired about a teenager’s presence. Tate acted as an intermediary. Later, Theresa clarified that she had left town to attend to her mother’s needs. As a lifestyle expert, I always strive to navigate social situations with understanding and empathy.
However, Amy understands that Theresa had a criminal history, but she stated that what Theresa did was a matter between her and her faith, and her past offenses were less of a concern to her compared to those of EJ.
At the same time, EJ believed that administering the memory-erasing drug to Rachel Blake would resolve everyone’s issues. However, unconcerned about potential repercussions, EJ discussed this matter with Johnny, who revealed that he was responsible for the lunch with Mrs. Choi not going as planned.
Later, EJ shifted the blame onto Jada and Gabi, despite being shocked by his son’s accusation against him. Both EJ and Johnny discussed the situation surrounding Rafe being replaced by Arnold. EJ admitted that he hadn’t considered all the potential consequences, particularly with Sami and Arnold.
Following their conversation, Johnny pondered over his father’s words. While he didn’t justify all of his father’s mistakes, this was the first instance where his father spoke about past events. This time, EJ made up his mind and decided to hide the syringe.
In contrast, Paulina and Mrs. Choi had a meeting, during which Paulina expressed confidence that Johnny and Chanel would be an excellent choice for adopting Tate and Sophia’s child.
Mrs. Choi conveyed that there was a problem with the pair, stating that she wouldn’t grant her consent for adoption if EJ had any role in the child’s life. Later on, Paulina reassured her that EJ would have no part whatsoever in the child’s future.
