“Dawson’s Creek” Star Launches Fundraiser to Cover Cancer Treatment Costs

Okay, so this is a bit sad, but I just heard that James Van Der Beek – you know, Dawson from “Dawson’s Creek” – is having to ask for help with medical bills. He’s going through cancer treatment, and to help cover the costs, he’s auctioning off a ton of cool stuff he’s collected from his years as an actor. Propstore is handling the auction, and honestly, it’s a great way for fans to support him and maybe snag a piece of movie/TV history!

The auction features items from James Van Der Beek’s previous roles, including costumes, props, and set decorations. Some key pieces include the necklace Dawson gave Joey on “Dawson’s Creek” and the cleats and hat he wore as a member of the West Canaan Coyotes in the film “Varsity Blues.”

James Van Der Beek recently told People magazine that he’s been holding onto special items from his career for years, waiting for the perfect moment to share them. Given everything that’s been happening in his life lately, he feels now is the time. While it’s a little bittersweet to let these things go, he’s happy to be able to offer them to his fans through an auction with Propstore as a way of saying thank you for their support.

Van Der Beek recently shared with People that he’s been privately working through a health issue and is optimistic about the future. He’s taking steps to get better and is grateful for the support of his family, and is currently feeling well.

Supporters can now purchase memorabilia from the actor’s career, offering both a collectible item and a way to help him through a difficult period.
