In a viral video shared on social media, the actor from DC can be seen going through an earlier script of a scene, in which Rachel Brosnahan’s character, Lois Lane, interviews Clark Kent.
The spectators observed an effortless shift in the actor’s portrayal, as he seamlessly moved between his Superman role and another version of his character.
Fans react to David Corenswet’s self-auditioned tape
Fans took to social media to express their reactions to David Corenswet’s audition video for Superman. One user exclaimed, “David Corenswet’s audition should definitely leave you impressed. This guy exudes a strong Superman feel.” Another fan commented, “You can easily tell who studied at Juilliard and who didn’t,” followed by “Corenswet has that theater background, which is fantastic. He seems to embody Christopher Reeve so well in this audition, it’s remarkable.

Originally, director Gunn had always intended for Corenswet to portray Superman, as he stated during an interview with GQ, “He was the one to watch from the get-go.
In simpler terms, the co-head from DC elaborated by saying, “We tested various combinations of actors and actresses to identify not only the standout Clark and Lois, but also the pair who worked best as a duo, or ‘Clois.’ My opinion is that David was outstanding as Clark, while Rachel excelled as Lois. However, they truly shone when acting together.
Superman hit theaters on July 11 and was available to stream on digital platforms from August 15.
