The Beckham family is currently facing tension between David and Victoria’s son, Brooklyn, and his wife, Nicola Peltz. In a significant move, Brooklyn, 26, has covered up a tattoo of the word ‘Dad’. Sources tell the Daily Mirror that David Beckham is deeply upset by his son’s decision, especially considering the family’s tradition of using tattoos to express their love for one another.

Brooklyn Beckham has removed a tattoo of an anchor from his right bicep, which was originally a display of affection for his father. He’s also thought to have changed a tattoo that referenced his father’s nickname for him, ‘Buster,’ though this hasn’t been officially confirmed. The change to the anchor tattoo was noticed while Brooklyn and his wife were out and about before the weekend.
According to The Sun, Brooklyn Beckham had a tattoo of his family removed with laser treatment because he was deeply affected by their actions. A source close to him said keeping the tattoo would feel insincere given the pain he’s experienced.
A source close to David Beckham has told Metro that he’s very upset about his son Brooklyn covering up the tattoo he got of him. Despite Brooklyn’s explanation, it seems like a painful rejection for David.
Following his son’s lengthy Instagram post, David Beckham has called it a ‘mistake’ but won’t be commenting on the situation further, choosing to let his son handle things himself. Beckham is well-known for his tattoos dedicated to his children, including a prominent one for his eldest son, named ‘Buster’.
Like his father, Brooklyn Beckham has an eagle tattoo on his left wrist, which he got around 2017. He’s also previously removed a tattoo that said ‘mama’s boy,’ a reference to his mother’s time in the Spice Girls. He once had ‘mum’ tattooed inside a heart with flowers on his arm, but reportedly covered that up last year.
