Daredevil Returns: Sneak Peek at ‘Born Again’ Season 2 Released

Daredevil fans are excited to see Charlie Cox return as the iconic hero in the second season of Daredevil: Born Again. A new photo released by Empire magazine shows Cox in his Daredevil suit, and the series is quickly gaining attention.

The second season begins with Matt Murdock healing from a gunshot wound caused by Wilson Fisk. Now the mayor of New York City, Fisk is cracking down on masked heroes with his “Safer Streets Initiative,” which creates more danger in Hell’s Kitchen. According to producer Sana Amanat, this gave the show creative freedom, allowing them to explore any direction they chose.

Matt Murdock won’t be facing his challenges by himself. Krysten Ritter is back as Jessica Jones, bringing her signature sharp wit and attitude to the mix. According to producer Zoë Amanat, Jessica isn’t one to readily join forces with others, so her return is driven by a deeply personal connection to the story. Amanat also noted that Jessica provides a welcome contrast to Daredevil’s often serious tone, offering a refreshing and humorous perspective.

The new season will feature the return of characters like Franklin “Foggy” Nelson and Karen Page. Despite Foggy’s death in season one, the creative team felt it wasn’t possible to make another Daredevil season without actor Elden Henson involved.

Filming for the new season began on February 28th, initially called Out the Kitchen 2, and finished on July 9th. Shooting happened at various spots throughout Brooklyn and Manhattan. Hillary Fyfe Spera returned as the director of photography, and Philip Silvera was back as the stunt coordinator.

Season two will consist of eight episodes and will debut on Disney+ on March 4, 2026. It’s planned as part of the sixth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and a third season is already in the works.
